Ate there a few days ago and will be going back this evening! The salad bar is really good! We also got prime rib and grilled pork chops! The pork chop was the best we d ever eaten at a restaurant. It was juicy and seasoned really well. The prime rib was also really good! I d recommend the raw horseradish over the creamy version. Our server was really helpful and attentive. Our only complaint was the booth was a little uncomfortable because the edges dug into your thighs.
Ahh the ambience of the Fifth Quarter restaurant...where the atmosphere is like a morgue, the odor is like a flooded basement, and the management is as friendly as a BMV worker...five stars.....GOLD stars.
My father, husband and I went to Fifth Quarter for their Thanksgiving Buffet. It was absolutely horrible. The food was cold; they did not replenish the empty pans; left empty desert pans on the buffet line; my husband cleaned our table as the waitress never appeared and then when we were presented with the check it did not breakdown the charges but gave a total; then when the credit card was presented the paid slip broke down the charges...CHARGING AN 18% GRATUITY FOR THREE PEOPLE...ALL THE WAITRESS DID WAS BRING THREE DRINKS ....WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN. Oh and I have now been on hold for 10 minutes waiting for a manager to answer...no wonder they are going under!!!
Just had dinner at the Fifth Quarter Restaurant before the Harlem Globetrotter game. My family and I had the worst expericence ever. The host at the door was rude. When we finally got to a table, the server was rude. We had to ask for silverware and to have our drinks refilled. We were there for over an hour and it took 50 minutes to get our food. We actually cancelled the childrens orders because they had eaten off of the salad bar. We had to feed them from the bar because they were hungry and our food was late. When we finally got our food, the steaks and chicken were good but the potatoes and the French onion soup was cold. I don't know that we will eat here again. There are too many good restaurants in our area for this one to not care how they are treating their customers. The manager acted like he didn't care that we were highly disappointed with our service. He did give us a percentage off our food but that wasn't much of an apoligy.
Decent French Onion Soup. Beautiful ambiance. My pork chops were moist – even 2 days later. My co-workers liked their steaks. While most reviews rave about the salad bar, I’ve seen better for lower prices. But I must complain about the service. Our waitress became non-existent several times. I walked by the kitchen and heard her talking issues with (I assume) her boyfriend. And with as nice a dining room as they have, you’d think the toilet seats (circular) would match the toilets (egg-shaped).
