Went there for last minute lunch/brunch. It was sunday so brunch lasted til 3 pm. The menu options were great and the chicken alfredo w sundried tomatoes was awesome! We sat at the bar because the wait was really long but the service was great and I'd recommend this place to anyone.
OUTSTANDING, GREAT, PERFECT FOOD AND SERVICE!!!!!
We came to Salute and didn't know exactly what to expect. Our group had twenty (20) people and we always have problems when we go out to eat. I read one of the reviews on the website and was very sceptical about bringing a large group that needs separate checks. In this aspect Salute was incredible. Everyone paid separately and it was so easy that you would never know there were so many checks. Now the important part: The food was perfect. We have never gone out and had everyone happy with their food. Steaks seafood pasta veal manicotti and many others were so good that everyone was estatic. Quick service too at lunch. Friendy and efficient service, Justin was great. Two of our ladies wanted to take him home with them. The atmosphere and view made the experience even better. Great martinis and I understand that the happy hour is really fun. Our group of Red Hats had the best time and we would highly recommend Salute to anyone looking for great food and service.
We had a thoroughly enjoying meal outside on the patio, under the umbrellas across the street from the beach. Our waiter Jason was excellent and so was the food.
The Shrimp and grits (they actually used battered and fried polenta) in a four cheese sauce was very good and the seafood pasta in the spicy cream sauce was also excellent. For the less adventursome person - the spaghetti with meatsauce was great. Portions were large and the service prompt and attentive.
The setting is very attractive and I have always enjoyed good customer service. The food is only fairly good here. The owner also owns Lookout 49 in Gulfport. I love the food there, usually a cut above. The servers there have been inconsistent....some really good and one a few weeks ago with a lot of attitude. The owner also has Back Bay on Magnolia off Cowan Rd. Theres a water view I love and this place is great! I lunched there last Thursday with a group of 8. The service was good and the food was fabulous! I had the flounder special and it was so good. Everyone commented on how much they liked their food. Near the end of our meal the owner came by to ask how we enjoyed our meal! He seemed genuinely interested and very friendly. Then, the manager came by to see how our lunch had gone. Very nice! Like all three places Back Bay 5 stars, Lookout 49 4 stars...Salute 3 1/2 to 4 stars. The owner/Head chef is exceptionally talented! Love to watch him cook on WLOX!
My husband and I went to dinner there last night to celebrate his birthday. It was our 2nd time there and both times the food was absolutely delicious and the service, of not only our waitress (Ashley) but everyone that we came into contact with, was wonderful!!!
We enjoyed the atmosphere, the people and the food and will, for sure, be going back!!!
Thank you for a beautiful evening!!!
from the parking lot u would think it is 5 stars restaurant. but after walking into eating area, i should have turn around. only thing i can say, the bread was not bad. i just waste of money in this place. how can people go to this place. maybe its the price. stay home, open a can. u just may enjoy it better
My husband & I had our anniversary dinner there last night. My husband enjoyed the pasta dish w/shrimp. Me personnaly the shrimp were almost bait size (too small), but they were fresh which was good. Both our salads were excellent. Okay CHEF, some constructive advice, my eggplant was cooked to perfection, except it was too thin not enough seasonings in the bread crumbs, the marinara sauce was too heavy and not enough seasonings all I could taste was the sauce! Your menu didn t say that everything is served w/pasta, If I had known that I would not have ordered it, would have gotten a dinner salad. Our server , Devon, was JUST EXCELLENT, eager to please and very attentive to our every need and desire. She saw the disappointed look on my face, I told her the truth, that I make better eggplant parmsean, which I do, sorry chef, but that s the truth, I was so hoping to have an excellent dish that I did not have to prepare. Our server brought me two slices of fried eggplant which was cooked perfectly except it lacked seasoning. If my dish had been half as good as my server, I would have been a happy camper. Our server was so good we tipped more than 18%. Your restaurant can do nothing but improve if you learn to take CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.
