Back Porch, Destin

Best place to eat with or without kids. They have a great play area for the kids and a GREAT Bar for the adults. They are always busy, you may have to wait but it is well worth it! We eat there everytime we are in Destin, in fact we are going there tonight! Yum Yum, can't wait!!

Great view, fabulous food. Be sure to try the garlic smashed potatoes instead of fries! Great for families. Nice beach playground for kids, and a small bar on the beach while you wait for your table. Cool shirts, too!

Excellent food, service, ambiance...and the most beautiful view of the Gulf. Cute little gift shop attached for buying a reminder of your visit. Oh, don't forget to grab a handful of mints on your way out the door not only do they help refresh your breath after the meal they are the best mints you will have ever have.

The food is mediocre, over-priced, and greasy. It's crowded and full of sweaty people. I'll choose elsewhere next time. I especially recommend that you do not take your children here...it's smoky outside and dirty inside.

Great food, Great atmosphere, great service!! A little wait, but WELL worth it!!! I can't wait to get some of those infamous seafood nachos reallll soon!!!

The Back Porch is the best place for. The amberjack, fried shrimp, scallops and fish was outstanding. The orange cake was also the perfect dessert for the perfect meal. The dining area view is so calming. The entire experience was great and we will be back for more.

This was the first time we went to Back Porch and we went on a recommendation from a friend. I can't say enough about it. It was an almost perfect dining experience. Service staff was awesome, very pleasant and very fast. The atmosphere was great, being right on the beach, very open and airy. The only problem I see with this is that it could be uncomfortable on a hot day. We went in the evening so this wasn't an issue. The food was just superb. It tasted very fresh, was well cooked, well presented and delicious. It is pricey, but I think you pretty much get what you pay for. I highly recommend the calamari and twice-baked potato. Visiting Back Porch will be mandatory every time we visit Destin from here on out.

This tastes like a creamsicle on crack! The best thing I have ever eaten. The rest of the food was excellent, but what I will remember forever is that ORANGE CAKE!
