don t get me wrong, I love the food. It s the service that is lacking. VERY slow. wait forever to be seated, place not busy, wait forever for the food. Don t want to be mean, the waitress was nice enough. I believe this is a managment fault.
Very mediocre food. Salad dressings out of a bottle, meatloaf gravy out of a can or mixxed from a package... This is not deli food! All downhill since the original Rose's in NW Portland. Even the desserts don't measure up to the visuals.
11-20-09 - Wow, things have really changed in the past couple months! No happy happy hour menu anymore, and several good items are now missing from the regular menu too. Oh, and the bar's closed as well. After scanning the new menu and discovering the bar closed, we left without ordering and headed to Clancy's.
We've really tried to give Rose's a good try, but after three visits we're throwing in the towel. Overpriced dinners, shoddy service, and a dessert menu that while impressively packaged, ends up a disappointment.
The food was average, definitely want to save room for the deserts, which seems to be what they are known for more than the overall meals. While we didn't have a long wait, the service itself wasn't spectacular.
