Shorty Smalls, Branson

We were there, back in 2002, and again in April of '07 and the food was and still is excellent! All in our party, especially, liked the CATFISH! We will tell our friends!!!

We have visited Branson 9, going on 10 years in a row! We eat at Shorty's at least twice in our week long visit. Be sure to get a coupon and receive a GIANT blooming onion. THe sauce is the best. We like the catfish, pork bbq, and chicken strips. Kids meals are cheap too! We have even seen live music which the kids enjoy. They never have a problem seating our group of 15. Can't say enough about our favorite spot!!!

The atmosphere and the food is terrific. Best ribs I've had and I love those cheese biscuits! Bring a big appetite because you'll get lots of food for your money. We always have to have doggy bags. We live here in the Ozarks and have lots of opportunities to try out various restaurants and shows. Actually, most all shows and restaurants are better than big cities because down here, we cater to the tourist to be sure they have a good time.

I don't go to Branson for the shows, I always stay at a little cabin and go fishing on Lake Taneycomo. Therefore, I have pretty much eaten at every restaurant in Branson. Honestly, there are VERY few decent places to eat there. Shorty Smalls in by FAR the best place in all of Branson for it's food, service, atmosphere and cleanliness. This place is OUTSTANDING, and you are truly denying yourself a pleasurable evening if you pass it up! I only wish we had a Shorty Smalls in St. Louis!

The service was great (cute waitress too). The BBQ was great, the steaks were wonderful. The place had a nice rustic feel. Judging by all the empty plates at the end of the meal I'd say six out of six of our party liked the food. I can't comment on their deserts (was too full to try any).

This place has great food, if you like BBQ and fried stuff. I would suggest the BBQ Chicken or Pulled Pork. The slaw and beans are unbelievable as well. However I wouldnt suggest the beef as it is well below the chicken and pork. The restaurant is impressive looking inside and out. Request a booth instead of a table, it will help a whole lot with your dining experience. The only problem with this place is you get PLENTY OF ATTITUDE from the manager, the waiters, and even the bus boys. We've been going here for over a four year period (7 times total I believe) during our vacations to Branson. It seems we get attitude every time. If you dont mind putting up with grumpy workers and are in the mood for BBQ, this is the place in Branson.

We loved this place! The people were awesome and so was the food! Our waiter was so friendly! We have a two-year old son and he just loved the music they were playing! He would take a bite of catfish and start moving to the beat, it was a good time! You gotta stop by for some good eats!!! :}

Well, my family visits this place everytime they are in Branson and this was my first time, maybe they were just having an off day but, the food was burnt and the service was really bad. Maybe I will give them a try again sometime but, I think I will give the other great resraunts another chance before visiting there again.
