The Tugboat, Steamboat Springs

We went to many places here...very cozy, good food, and awesome staff. Even though it has a bar atmosphere it was very kid friendly! The locals that were there were so nice! This is a great place for drinking and dinner!

I have always had a great time at the tugboat.They pour fat drinks and always great bands from all around. I look forward to going every time i'm in town.If you like to party and you like music than its a must stop especially tourist, i'm mean this place can be a freak show such a different mix of people you will have fun just people watching. The door guy is always good for a messing with too.Also everyone that works there always did a great job and made me feel like a local.I look forward to deejaying there in the near future.

As a former employee of the Tugboat, i have to challenge the review previously posted here. The Tugboat is a Steamboat landmark, and a must-stop for all visitors to the town. The Tugboat is a place for locals and visitors to come together for good music and drinks. The food is solid, and the ribs can't be beat in Steamboat. An eclectic mix of bands rotate through the Tugboat every few days, changing the atmosphere of the bar every night, and ensuring you will never feel like "it's just another night at the Tugger." I promise you there is no such thing. As for the accusations that the staff is "crude and barbaric," we encounter everyone from movie stars and cowboys, to rock stars, college students, and families of four. Considering the diverse clientele, the Tugboat staff do their best to ensure everyone enjoys themselves and has an authentic Steamboat experience. Overall, if you're looking for some great music, good food, a chance to meet people. or just an overall great time, the Tugboat is not a bad place to start out your night.

This is a prime location for apres ski ! They always have great bands here late night , and the food and service aren't bad either ! Entree tip: Rocky Mountain Trout !

Tugboat is great for happy hour. Great location for when you get done skiing. I have always had friendly service. If you want a quiet place, this probably isn't for you.

This is one of our favorite places to go in Steamboat- casual, fun, and good food!! It's a nice place to hang out at after skiing. We've enjoyed it for years.

Of all the wonderful places I have been to in Steamboat, this is by the far worst. The staff was unfriendly and crude, and I found the mentality of the door men barbaric. I heard them make numerous rude remarks to females entering. I am proud to be part of a great place like Steamboat, but I am ashamed of this place.

Great staff and a wonderful mix of foods from huge burgers, to different types of salads, to real good apps. Gets a large crowd in the later evening because of their good live entertainment.

The Tugboat Bar & Grill is easily the best place to hang out around Steamboat. After blowing my ACL snowboarding the first day, I didn't have much to do there besides watch Judge Judy and party at night. Once my friend and I found Tugboat, it was over. We were there every night. The staff is definitely incredible, and the food is great! Tugboat for President!
