Good food, and the only BBQ restaurant in Fairbanks. The food might be just a notch below some of the great BBQ places in my home state of Texas, but it is not bad and is well above average. Best feature is that you get a TON of food. Little chance of leaving hungry. The service here is usually pretty good, which can be a rarity in Fairbanks. Give it a try; don't be put off by the people giving it just one star - they are just flat wrong.
We;ve eaten here twice and that is definitely two times too many. The first time was BEFORE it was featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and the last time several months after it was featured. The first time I thought maybe we just went on a bad day but the food and service was just as bad the second time. The ribs were over cooked, tasteless and dry. We won't be going back. The next time I want ribs I'll make them myself..........they at least won't be dry and flavorless. Maybe the next time Guy Fieri shouldn't tell them he's coming.
OK food. There isn't much in the way of BBQ in town. Thought it was to expensive for what you get. The waiter was good and kept the drinks stocked. There is a BBQ place on Chena Pump that is much more affordable and the food is great.
My husband and I recently went here for lunch. VERY Expensive for what you get (their idea of salad is lettuce drenched in water) but the brisket was very tasty. I would probably go back if the price was better.
NO NO NO, I went here because my wife wanted too...and trust me, now i throw it up in her face regularly. the buffet was awful, the food was cold and the meat was dry and not good. I know one thing...I wont be going back!
You would be better off eating a McRib. This is the worst tasting food ever. Overcooked food, Tastless Sauce. Ribs you have to cut off the bone with a knife. You could do better with a gas grill and Safeway Select BBQ
