My wife and I with two friends went here on a Friday for lunch. We ordered two chirashi sushi bowls. We didn t get the salad that was supposed to be part of the lunch special, we were overcharged (the waitress said that it was the correct price and when we called the restaurant about it, the manager said that the it s the sushi chef s discretion as to what is to be charged), the service was bad, and the food was ok (not deserving more than three stars for the food). We really enjoyed visiting with our friends; however, the restaurant sucked big time. We has a similar experience with this restaurant about three years ago. This is our send poor experience, and we will not be back ever again. Instead we will continue to go to the Jinbeh in Lewisville - where the food is excellent, the service is great, the staff is friendly and the prices are very reasonable (better than the Frisco location).
I have been to many different Japanese Steak restaurants. I have to say I will NEVER go back here. The service was very poor, chef was okay, but could have some better moves, & the price...WAY too much for what you get. Food is good, but I have got better & more for less. Can say we had the California Rolls & they where pretty good.
I ate there once and it was very good so I went back a second time and the food was okay but the restrooms were disgusting. I have never seen such a filthy womens room it looked like a dirty gas station bathroom. I didn't want to touch anything. When I got home I got violently ill. I don't know if it was food poisoning or the fact that the people preparing the food were using dirty bathrooms. Haven't been back and probably won't if a restaurant has a dirty bathroom chances are other areas are unsanitary as well.
Jinbeh is another one of these restaurants that attempts to use a cook's showmanship (which was awful at Jinbeh) to mask the poor quality of the food they serve. After ordering the Hibachi Sesame Chicken, I felt I had been served the Rubber Chicken Special. In the first bite, I literally spent time thinking how to chew through the chunk of chicken that was in my mouth, and looking at the beef that was cooking it looked rather purplish and completely unappetizing. Needless to say, the one morsel of chicken is all I could take; I say order the veggies or sushi, and avoid the meat.
Service was terrible. Literally took 15 minutes to get our drinks. Mexican hibachi chef? Benihana and Kobe are staples, stick with them. This place stinks like a dirty restaurant.
Make sure to ask for Pablo, he make great sushi....
