Cafe Sevilla has been in the Gaslamp for over 20 years and they always amaze me with their food. They are constantly adding items to the menu. My family had the opportunity to enjoy the Flamenco Show and it was amazing. It was full of energy and fun. The dinner was included with the price and we got to eat the delicious Paella Valenciana. I love the great selection of Spanish wines they have from different regions. Overall a great place to go!

My wife and I love to go to Sevilla because it's one of the few places that offer Jamón Ibérico which is a Spanish delicacy. We had the cured ham and great wine to go with it. We lived in Spain for several years and got to love their food. We like to enjoy some Spanish food every now and then. We usually go there on Tuesday nights because they offer their bottles of wine for half the price. It is a great deal! All of their cheeses are imported from Spain. We usually order the cheese platter that comes with their delicious fresh Kalamata Olive Bread! If you're tired of the same types of restaurants in SD, it is always nice and refreshing to go to Sevilla and experience something different.

I have been to Cafe Sevilla quite a few times. I went with some of my cousins from NYC who were in town for a few days. I love tapas because you can share and try all kinds of different flavors. Some of our favorites included the lamb chops, seafood crepe, cheese fundido, and basque rabbit. Everything was great! After the tapas we shared the seafood paella and a beef and lamb brocheta (grilled skewers of meat) and the special for the night, lobster tapa stuffed with veggies and manchego cheese, yummy!! The food was absolutely amazing and our server gladly helped us pair some wine with the dinner that we ordered. For dessert we shared the sampler and I tried a coffee drink with a Spanish liquor in it called licor 43. It was really tasty and unique! All of us went downstairs to the nightclub after dinner and had so much fun! We danced salsa until 1:30 am. Good times!

I haven't really found a tapas bar I love...but this one is way up there! We went for happy hour (5-6:30) in the bar part of the restaurant. Totally worth it! 1/2 price tapas. I had the sangarita (half sangria, half margarita). Pretty tasty!! My friends had the regular red sangria. Calamari amazing!!! queso fundido the best melted cheese ever, even better if you add mushrooms and Spanish chorizo! Seafood crepe, paella valenciana (this was by far my favorite, so good) and chicken croquetas. We had the best waitresses I have ever had in my life. She was attentive, informative, funny, even invited us back later for the live music, asked where we were from, etc. She was absolutely great!!

Calamari was tough, unacceptable for a Spanish restaurant. Rest of the tapas were ordinary. The paella, which was supposed to be their specialty, was terrible, rice was hard, didn't taste like the paella I had in Spain. Didn't have forks on the table, had to wait for those while the food was getting cold. Service in general was not very good. Waiter asked if we wanted the paella spicy, I said medium. They ended up charging $3.50 extra for spicy paella. Would never go back to Cafe Sevilla or recommend it to anyone.

I have been a HUGE fan of this romantic spanish eatery for numerous years! I just love their cheese fundido and sauteed mushrooms al ajillo! You can always go with the fresh mint mojitos or the sweet sangria, but my favorite is the Porron (white wine mixed with beer served in a strange glass carafe). If you enjoy Salsa or want to learn, they have 4 nights of salsa... fun!
