A really great breakfast place. Taking up a small storefront and an adjacent bar area, Cafe Verde is *very* small and gets packed on weekends. But, crowds or no crowds, I'm addicted to their vanilla french toast made with crispy sourdough bread and try to stop by almost every weekend. They also have several Latin-influenced egg dishes worth a try.
My wife and I have visited this cozy restaurant several times. We think of it as a real undiscovered gem in the Pasadena area. We love the coziness of it and think the food is great. Prices are very affordable and they treat you really well. I would recommend Cafe Verde for anyone looking for a quaint, cozy dining experience at an affordable price! Be sure to try the stuffed pepper appetizer... it's amazing. FYI... we brought our own wine and they did not charge any corkage fee... gotta love that!
