Stickyz Rock 'n' Roll Chicken Shack
Sticky Fingerz in Little Rock emphasizes on good food and good music. They keep looking out for bands like The See, Del Castillo, and Lucious Spiller Band, playing different genres of music from rock, pop, alternative to jazz and blues. The opening acts by smaller, local bands are always just as interesting as the main performances. Shows start around 9 or 10p and go on for a few hours. Their menu is an interesting compilation of fast food such as burgers, the house specialty of chicken fingerz , grilled chicken and salads. Check the website for information on upcoming shows.
I have seen multiple bands at Sticky Fingers. Afroman, Papa Grows Funk, Sarah Thomas, Runaway Planet, Kenny Wayne Shephard and Freeverse just to name a few. Now, later this month they have Blues Travler coming in. They are by far the best music venue in Little Rock.
I used to go to this place when it was Six Bridges bar and helped with live sound here... they have redone the place nicely and reopened a few years ago as Sticky Fingers Rock n Roll Chicken Shack .. very odd name lol! Anyways the decor was very eclectic and interesting and is really all I can think to say about it... it is the most obvious thing about it. Didn't care for the cheese dip... a bit odd flavor.. but others with me loved it.
Martinis are quite good .. but a bit expensive ($6.00)
I went and really liked the feel, but the food was great. The fingers really were good and you get a bunch of choices of what kind and what sauces. I haven't been there at night when the bands are there, but I bet thats fun too.
Sticky Fingerz is one of my favorite bars in Little Rock's Rivermarket. The food has always been excellent (do try the chicken fingerz...lol) and it is a great place to hear local and regional acts (and others I'm sure). I love the ambiance of the place where you can find spots to enjoy a good conversation or enjoy the music, its relaxed and comfortable. It is definately worth checking out if you're in Little Rock.
