Absolutely the perfect place for breakfast. The view is fabulous in three directions. You can see all of Bar Harbor plus a lot of Acadia National Park. Eggs Benedict ($10) or three huge blueberry pancakes ($8) with a side of bacon ($3) are foolproof recommendations. Good service. Kid friendly. This circular restaurant sits on a hill high above the Bluenose Inn. It is hard to find. Just look for their sign and then keep driving uphill.
Our service was so bad we left and had to order pizza later because we were so hungry. Our server sat at the bar eating her dinner while we waited for ours, it took 40 min for us to recieve our meals. It was way over cooked, so neadless to say we didn't eat it. We left very unhappy.
Although the view of Frenchman Bay is exquisite, the food is pedestrian at best. We've been going to Bar Harbor every year and have been to many, many restaurants, and this is just not worth the trip. Prices are up there but the quality isn't.
