La Carta De Oaxaca

Description

Oaxacan cuisine is served at Carta de Oaxaca and the place is nestled on the Ballard Avenue. You can't miss the bright entrance. Once you step in, make yourself comfortable at one of the long tables. Do let your glance venture towards the open kitchen where a busy staff cooks up delicious Mexican treats. Lots of black and white photographs line the otherwise plain walls. House specialties include Posole and Fish Soup among many others. Make sure to reach on time as the venue gets crowded. And in case you are waiting for a table, go ahead and gulp down those tequila shots and 'feel happy'!

Real Mexican food, not covered in "cheese" sauce

An excellent break from all of the other Mexican restaurants in town that seem to serve the same stuff from the same region of Mexico. This family-run place has the real kind of food that actual folks in Mexico would eat, not the Americanized stuff.

Best Mexican food. Don't expect the usual taco plates. These dishes are special. Great salsa bar. Worth the long wait.

Not Taco Bell, if you like that go elsewhere... Well done authentic "mexican" food.. Salsa bar is what all others "should be".. Totally worth a visit

Crowded, noisy, expect a wait. La Carta is like going back to Guatelajara. The food is authentic, the margaritas will knock your socks off and the salsa bar is way too good. Expect to share your table with other diners and enjoy
