We have walked by the restaurant many times over the past few years, and there was always a long wait, so we never ate there. Well, tonight we finally had dinner there with an out of town friend, and I must say, it was one of the nicest dining experiences we have ever had! The drink at the bar was a great deal, and the bartender even gave us garlic bread for the wait. Our waitress brought us samples of 2 wines that really helped us with our choice- never had that before, and it was great! We all had the salmon special, and it was fantastic! The only complaint was no Splenda or cream for our coffee after dinner, but the waitress did bring some whipped cream for the coffee. She was a great waitress, the service in general was great, and we will definately go back again!

I attended a wedding last Saturday, July 18, which was catered by Pasta Jay's at the Koenig Alumni building in Boulder. The food was absolutely delicious, however, one of the caterers, a woman with dark hair and awfully short bangs was not very nice. She was as a matter of fact rude. As we were getting our appetizers, she had told us, that we needed to wait until every one had their share and that we needed to wait until dinner was served. It is not so much what she said, but the manner that she said it. As I heard, she did the same to the best man, who in return told her "I am the best man". And she did the same to the groom, apparently she did not know he was the groom because he wore the same outfit as the groomsmen. I heard he told her that it was his wedding, that made her changed her attitude a little bit. The rest of the staff was friendly and helpful. With special mention of the tall young man, with curly hair. He was very polite. The food was good, but that woman which I heard her name was Leanne or something like that, was just unpleasant. She needs to get more training, not only in catering, but in public relations, poise and proper etiquette.

OK, I've read the reviews by the people who don't like good food. (There really are people out there like that) Pasta Jays is far and away my favorite Italian place. My favorite place of any kind. Everything I've tried has been excellent. My favorite is the stuffed portobello. The atmosphere is really nice. They can open up the windows on two sides when the weather is warm enough. It's in Boulder, so the views are awsome. Especially when seated outside. The servers are always very friendly and helpful. I've dined there maybe 100 times and only twice has the food or service been less than a perfect 10. Don't listen to the bafoons who can't be anything but critical. (Makes then feel big and important, I guess) Try Past Jays yourself and write your own review.

Yuk! Bad food, bad service but hot wait staff! The only thing this place has going for it are the great looking girls that work there.

Delicious Pizza
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/12/09
We always love going to Pasta Jay's. It's a great family place and the decor with it's red checkered tabled cloths and candles on the table is a nice place for a date. Our family loves pizza and our favorite is the Pesto Pizza with sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts and mozarella cheese. It's really delicious! It's a little pricey, ranging from about $12 to 16 for pizza, but it's worth every penny. We've always had a wonderful meal there.

Pasta Jay's

Oh my god!!! The green chili ravioli in the alfredo sauce will make you weak! There is nothing anywhere like Pasta Jay's and it's a must-eat restaurant if you're ever in Boulder (or Denver or Moab). You will NOT be disappointed!

Do not eat all day!

Pasta Jays is the absolute best Italian food on the front range. We have always had perfect food and that alone is amazing considering how many time we have been to this great restaurant.

It's funny this place has gotten such bad reviews. It's really like an Olive Garden, but better. And that's the way to describe it. If you are craving the old fashioned Italian-American fare of stuffed pastas and good sauces at decent prices, than this place will quell that craving. If you want more upscale flavors, I recommend Baccaro just up the street.

HAHAHHAAAA!! I dined at Pasta Jay's in late September of 2008 and the server told me they were franchising. I guess they are looking to be the next McDonalds of Italian. It sure tastes like it. Bad service, bad food and cheesy atmosphere. The only good thing about this place was the hot wait staff.
