Bella Vita, Indianapolis

Bella Vita is an excellent restaurant. In the past they have had some bad reviews but, I recently returned and had no issues whatsoever. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding and I had no complaints. They have enclosed their patio and put a beautiful fireplace out there to sit by. They do bananas foster tableside. The owners Shelly and Henri came out to say hello. You just don't get that personal touch in places today. We also met the manager Diane who was there doing a private party upstairs and Zeke who was tending the downstairs bar. We really had a great night and we will be returning very soon1

The view is the best part of this experience. The food no bid deal and not worth the money. I have had far better Italian. This was junk. The wine glass was dingy and appeared dirty. The silverware was the same. I sent it back. It wasn't just water spots. The chairs outside needed to be hosed down food and drink stains. Visible spiderwebs inside on what would be a nice light fixture. The cleaning staff obviously isn't really cleaning or dusting. I thought for the money the place could look better and the dishes and cutlery could be cleaner. The cheapest stainless steel knife and fork set they could find.\r Not worth the time except for a glass of wine and the view and some people watching. You could prepare a better meal at home.
