Best Chinese food in Rochester,MN. I go there once a week. Fast service and great atmosphere. The people there are also nice.

Most people like Chinese food, and if you do you'll love this restaurant. I always recommend it to everyone looking for a good place to eat and have been going there since I was...I have no idea. The servers are flexible with their food specials and if you come often enough, they'll get personal and it's great. Only good things to say about Hunan Garden!

Totally ignore the other review. This is the best place for Chinese food in Rochester hands down. Could possibly be the best in the state. We get take out from their every few weeks and its always excellent.

I have to agree to ignore the idiot who wrote the bad review.. the food is awesome it is the best Chinese in this town! By far! I eat there all the time... mostly take-out, their beverages aren't the best for choices... mainly cause I only drink chocolate milk no pop for me... anyhow their sweet and sour sauce.. I buy it in quarts and freeze it so when I make rice and stuff at home I have some of it. I haven't found anything I don't like on the menu... unless it isn't chicken, beef, pork... not into duck or anything else... but it is the best around and I recommend everyone try it once.. you will be hooked just like my fiancee... who unfortunately for him had always eattin the lower end of the scale until me... and now thats all he wants.

Ignore the negative review. That person either has some sort of issues or accidently reviewed the wrong restaurant. Every time I have gone to this restaurant; for the past 13 years; I have gotten excellent service and food. I have never had a negative experience there. The staff are consistantly very friendly and polite, a rarity now. I have lived 2.5 hours away from this restaurant for the past 3 years and I still go there when I can because I enjoy it so much. I always eat there and then get a meal to go, my car smells wonderful on the trip back. The take out I order, plus leftovers from the sit-down meal, always last me about 4 more meals. If you go to this restaurant, I would recommend getting the dinner or lunch special. You can make any of the dinners on the menu into the special. The special includes: 2 crab rangoon, 2 chicken wings, a bowl of soup, rice and your entree. The food is very affordable. And when they say something is spicy, it actually is, unlike most Chinese restaurants in the midwest.

Ok, not sure if the other reviews work there or what, the place stink, the smell is so bad it hit ya as soon as ya open the glass door, the food is OK, the servant and service arent there, PERIOD..the price is decent for the food quality....feel sorry for many who eat there as they dont know what they are missing and think this is the best chicness restaurant ever...

Hunan! wow, i'm not really suprised that it's number one in Rochester. My dad's the Cook there. he's been rewarded many times there.. he loves to cook and if you'd like him to cook for you personally, prefer Kim the cook to make your food for you. I dont mean to sound cocky that my dad's the cook, but he loves doing it and many many people know him because of what he loves to do and tends to request him as their chief for their food, the people; employees, employers and such are veerrry great people! i hope you all enjoy it as well as my family and friends do...
