Arthurs is really a breakfast place that happens to serve lunch too. They cut out dinners a while ago so the owner could relax a bit. The portions are big and they have the typical offerings of eggs, pancakes, and omelettes plus some odds and ends. They have a selection of breakfast meats to choose from beyond bacon and sausage -- I like the polish sausage and the ham. The country fried steak is great and the biscuits and gravy that go with them are phenomenal (you can also get them instead of toast with most meals). The omelettes are huge and if you can't find one to your liking you can 'build your own'. You can choose hash browns or country potatoes both of which are tasty.
This is a simple place that looks like it was converted from an old house which is very fitting for Mentone, if you know what I mean. They only have a few booths with the rest being tables and chairs. Don't expect a plush dining experience here, it is more like eating in your breakfast nook at home -- only with 20 other people in there with you. They have three main eating areas including the patio which is covered and in use year round. They have ample parking so long as you don't mind parking on the dirt lot next door during the busy times.
