Pancake Chef, Seattle

As with most little holes in the wall, The Pancake Chef was wonderful! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes breakfast (and considering how good it was, probably every other meal). Don't pass this place up!!! We had a rather large group and so were able to try various items and all were excellent. The Fresh Peach Crepes, were just that -- fresh, ripe, awesome peaches and light crepes. The Potato Pancakes were the best I have ever had. The Eggs Benedict was scrumptious, but the yummiest were the Banana pancakes with the honey coconut syrup -- my mouth waters thinking about it. And it is true that they squeeze their own fresh orange juice -- just wonderful! The staff was attentive and very out-going and the food came in a very timely manner. Definitely a place to check out!

My wife and I travel year round and we are pancake house explorers! We found The Pancake Chef to be the best overall that we tried in the Seattle area during our recent month long stay. Others we tried were The Original Pancake House in Kirkland (we rated 3 stars), and Family Pancake House in Redmond (4 stars), and Family Pancake House at the Snoqualmie Summit (3 stars).

I’ve been eating breakfast at the Pancake Chef most of my life (and I’m and old man now). I have never tried anything but the breakfast menu. But it is perfect and I just haven’t been able to get past it. The waitresses are cheerful and helpful. The service is fast (although there is often a wait on weekend or holiday mornings). For lovers of a big verity of pancakes (or other breakfast items) this is the place!
