Sugami, Myrtle Beach

Great atmosphere, Soft cream colored leather seats and Black cushions, candles and GREAT sushi. I highly recommend the rolls. All rolls are tasty and good combos. Had the Soho Crushy Rollmwith Salmon and Tuna, Loved it! Excellent presentation as well !

Be careful- such a scam we went to 9711 N Kings Hwy Myrtle Beach, SC 29526 Sugami restaurant ======== 1. we order one sushi sashimi combo dish which states clearly $31 on the paper menu they gave us and we marked that sushi sashimi with pencil on the paper and the waiter took it to the kitchen. In the end, they charge us $35 for this dish because they said it states $35 dollars on their plastic menu book which we did not even see it. when we talk to the manager, he indicates the paper menu printed wrong, but he has to charge us $35 dollars. such a scam. 2. we also ordered one roll. the fish was very very tiny and the rice taste too soft. 3. we ordered two udon noodles; it also states clearly on the menu that includes chicken+vegetables+two tempura shrimps + crab meat+udon noodles; when the two udon noodles arrived to our table, there was no any shrimp and no crab meat in the udon noodle at all. we had to call the waiter to ask her what's missing in our dish. then she looked at the menu to compare and told us she did not know the shrimp and the crab meat were missing and she will bring us two tempura shrimp and crab meat in 5 minutes. 4. when we get the manager to discuss, he said he is not the owner of the restaurant so that he cannot do anything about it and charged us $35 for sashimi combo which we saw $31 on the menu.

The waitstaff was great and the food was pretty good, unfortunately they are unequipped to handle a full house and it took an hour and a half to get our main course! Probably would not consider going again.

Fantastic Sushi and in a great location too. Went here on a whim while vacationing in Myrtle Beach and it was fantastic. Thanks Sugami!

Although I would say Miyabi's is a bit better for quality and esthetics, Sugami's is conveniently located and provides a comfortable atmosphere with a hospitable staff. Stay away from there sister establishment, Soho's. The staff are not as hospitable, especially the hostesses, who epitomize rudeness and the art of ignoring. For food and and a fine night out to talk and actually here the conversation with your partner, Sugami's is a must.

Great selection to choose from. Priced pretty reasonably. Love those California Rolls.
