Visited for the first time tonight and was delightfully surprised. I loved the special Fettucine Verde (spinach fettucine with tender bites of smoked chicken meat and brandy sauteed mushrooms in a light cream sauce). The tiramisu had the perfect texture and was wonderful. I don't usually eat Italian, but this restaurant will be on my list of local favorites!
Cafe Pro Bono, and its sister restaurant Trellace in Menlo Park, are wonderful places to eat and enjoy company. One of the most amazing dishes I've ever had is made here. It's called Susan's Downfall, but I like to call it *my* downfall. It's a cheese ravioli dish, done in a gorgonzola sauce with almonds, then placed under the broiler to brown. My description doesn't do it justice. Come for the Susan's Downfall and stay for the Zabbione.
