Hello, WE HAVE BEEN TO THE NEW YORK ROYS AND LOVED IT!THE STAR RATING IS FOR YOU If in any way you could get this make it to the District Office of Roys in Southern California? I would begin by complimenting the food is was as always excellent! The Chocolate Tarte was fantastic! The reason I am writing this is because I have been trying to give a "review" and complaint of my dining experence last evening 2/29/2008 at the Rancho Mirage CA location but there is no acess to give one. I do not want to call the Manager because it seemed that they were all there, knowing this only because of dining several times before there with friends and always like to know the names and people that are in charge. We have owned two restaurants ourselves and are uphauled at what happened. I am so upset that I want someone in the Corporate office persay to know what my fiance and I went through ang heard during our "dining experence". We were greeted by a tall brunette with a wonderful smile and sincere "Aloah" we asked her name and shared our delight with such a wonderful greeting while she opened the door for us, it was Michelle. As we were sat by a very young hostess, with a messy bun in her hair, she returned to the hostess stand and seemed to be flirting with the male servers that were always at the hostess area. Another host with long hair, who I remember from before, I believe her name is Marissa has always seemed professional before, but it was as though she and the other younger girl were related or just best friends it was as though the were just at a get together not at work. The tall gal Michelle seemed to be running the floor and having to stand aside of the host area due to the flirtatious happenings with the other hostess and the male staff. The language was VERY EXPLICITED! The front is as like a stage and the voices carry through to the tables just behind it, along with the cold air. The subjects that the two girls talking about were of the sexual content! and who was the "freakiest in that subject", those where the exact words! It did not stop with just one coment it was the better of the evening, we thought of asking our server who was terrific,Heather was her name, to get a member of management but I was just to upset to express these feelings last evening. In my life I have never seen such awful service at a hostess stand, that these two young girls had shown. Please if you could find the time to help me get this to a District Manager for that area it would be deeply appreciated. Thank you, Alice Carter

nothing more i could ask for in a restaurant. The food was amazing and the service was efficient and fast, it was a pleasant dining experience and would definitely return again.

I went for lunch during restaurant week... it was great food, wonderfully displayed... tasted great! will go back there soon!

A group of us went to celebrate after work. Delicious food, undescribable presentation, attentive staff, excellent service, relaxing ambiance & worth every dollar! Can't wait to take others there!

Roy's New York, IMHO, should be reserved for special event only. Not because the food is supremely expensive (I paid $640 for a party of 5 adults and 2 kids, wines and tips included), but because the food is so unearthly good and the service unparalleled, you will feel other eating places well below par. We tried the tasting menu, and the portion was generous, the presentation superb, and of course, it was a real treat. Reminds me of the culinary arts you see in Iron Chef. Very rarely you would see successful creative fusion dishes like at Roy's. One thing that was a very pleasant surprise. We had two young toddlers who are not the most steady kind. But the staff was very patient, attentive and friendly to our kids, never made us feel like we are not wanted (or embarassing their place). Even Roy himself came by several times to make sure everybody was comfortable and having a great dinner. You just don't see this kind of service at any upscale restaurant elsewhere. If you want an unforgetable dinner experience, go to Roy's New York.

Had a terrifice dining experience here- best I have had in months--would like to return here soon!

Roys has quickly become a favorite for us. The food, staff and service is amazing! I would recommend sitting at the chefs counter - it is great to watch the magic happens. And, try the poke tuna!!
