Overall its a solid restuarant and I would go back. It's a great place to go with friends, but if you are looking for a nice romantic dinner I would advise going somewhere else. I read some reviews praising Redwood for being a great spot for a romantic dinner, which it is far from. Its way to loud, music was nothing close to jazz, and they tried give it a rustic look which they succeeded at, but it looks like they spent as little as possible. To end on a good note the food was excellent and our server was very pleasent.
The Redwood Room has excellent food and a great ambiance. The menu is upscale and the prices are very reasonable. This is the best place in town to take a date. Also check out the live music while you dine. They don't take reservations, which can be good or bad.
The Redwood Room is an amazing place to eat. It's fine dining for a reasonable price ($13.00-$18.00 per plate). I would recommend having the Artichoke Spinach Dip as an appetizer and the Apple Cider Pork as an entree when you dine at this restaurant. You will not be disappointed. I can't say enough about the Redwood Room.
The food was unbelievable. Presentation was top-notch, although the quantity left a little to be desired. Our server left a lot to be desired. Very little knowledge of the wine list, food menu, and dessert menu detracted from our total dining experience. I would frequent the redwood room if I wasn't so afraid of getting our server again, because I truly enjoyed the food and the live music. All in all, this is a place that I would love to take someone that I wanted to impress, unfortunately I'm not much of a gambler.
The food is fantastic; in particular, the tuna, which I've had over and over again. Over time I've tried at least half the menu, and I've never been disappointed - quite the contrary. The atmosphere is warm and romantic. The staff is great. The musicians are well selected. I really can't say enough. It's definitely worth your time.
Atmosphere is cozy, however food was awful. My husband's tuna filet was WAY overcooked. Then the server acted like that was the way it was supposed to be. Tuna should never be well-done and dry.
The other 2 times I have been there they were out of what I ordered. Their menu is small and limited enough already-I just shared with my friend.
The food, wine list, ambiance, and service are top notch at this cozy little restaurant. The combination of nightly live music and tasty creative cuisine could bring me back over and over. The Best in town!
