Bellisio's Italian Restaurant, Duluth

We have been to Bellisio's many times. The management needs to know the staff their needs more training on how to act professional,polite and to smile. It is supposed to be classy - the staff needs to reflect that. It is not a TGI Friday's and overly friendly does not work. People go there for the entire experience. It is not a quick - rushed dinner. We have had some very unfriendly - snooty service there. The food has been excellent - love the fennel roasted pork. The tables are too close - too crowded. Can't you at least eliminate a couple tables. I know of 2 couples that will not go to Bellisio's because the tables are to packed in the room. Especially the back corner. The table on the way to the washrooms is unfortunate.

Moved from California to Wisconsin. Packed 20 cases on Sonoma wine with us, fearing we would never taste tood wine again. Then we happened upon Belisio's and low and behold, a wine cellar to equal the best in California. We found a new home! Excellent Italian cuisine... enough to make any good Italian jealous. But we go and have flights of great wines and enjoy the appetizers!! The staff is attentive and amazingly knowledgeable. A friendly, attentive service typical of your better/fine restaurants. We're going to a Zinfandel party Jauary 16 -- how cool is that!! Truly, this is an oasis for wine lovers in the midwest!

On Oct.3, 2006 my husband and I were ending the 13th day of our 18 day road trip from Washington State to East Lansing Michigan and then back to Washington. We had driven from Mackanac City, were tired, hungry and not happy with the pouring rain when we reached Duluth! We walked from our hotel to Bellisio's and there experienced a delightful, delicious dinner served by a friendly, courtious, efficient wait staff. We would recommend it to anyone, it was well worth the time & money. We have our favorite Italian restaurants out here in the beautiful Pacific NW and this was as good, if not better than any of those The Fennel Roasted Pork was incredible, as was the Spumoni Ice Cream !!! If you like Italian food and are in Duluth, MN, then this is the place to go. THey had really great food and the service was excellent. Not to mention some of the waiters were easy on the eyes..

Great location, very nice interior and nice friendly staff. We made reservations and got right in immediately. Great menu and lots of vegetarian options as well. Best restaurant in Duluth in our opinion!

Certainly the finest Italian restaurant in Duluth, and possibly the finest in general. Very good pastas, and the foccacia bread before the meal is great! A tad expensive though. Probably an excellent place to take your date.
