IL Gatto, Minneapolis

Figlio is one of the most excellent restaurants I have ever been to, and I have been all over the world. Their food is amazing, and the service has been excellent every time I have been there in the last ten years.

I really wanted to give a 2 1/2 star rating. Figlio isn't poor, but rather barely average. I was told to only order a pizza and that was good advice. My pizza was good and reasonably priced. My wife's $20-something entree was not good at all. Basically it was a couple of overdone pieces of beef on a huge plate of vermicelli. The atmosphere is nice, but can be very loud. There are better options.

I dont like the overall crowd there. The crowd tends to be closer to the 40 year old, single and desperate type.

This was some of the best food I have ever had. I had the steak sandwich, if was different from anything else I've had and it was great! Though the prices were a bit high, it was well worth it! Their dessert sampler was great too! The atmosphere was fun! Though it was a bit loud, I loved being in Uptown at midnight and seeing so many people having so much fun! I will always be suggesting this place to all my family, friends, co-workers, and anyone else who asks me!
