The conventional wisdom at the Red Dragon is that you've decided to get drunk, so the mixed drinks are stiff. They also happen to be cheap at all hours. And after the second drink, you probably should have something from the restaurant that serves a basic Chinese-American menu as well as you might expect -- they've got all the basics from the 70s covered. The cream cheese won-tons are crispy and not too greasy though the egg rolls sometimes sit around for a little while. Take out is usually fast. Parking is minimal especially on weekends. You can expect to walk a few blocks unless you take the bus. - Marie Richie
The food is great here! If you liked the old Nankin, you will like the food here. Sadly, though, they took the chop suey chow mein off the menu. It was the best! Please bring it back! The service is attentive and friendly. The only downside is that the place could use a good cleaning. But don't be put off, the food is worth the lack of atmosphere.
I ate at the restaurant and a week letter I had A cold sore on my lip. Mind you I had never had one before. The food was wonderful. I'm just not sure how the sterlize the Silverware etc.. Atttetion Red Dragon I hope you washing and sterling your dishes etc......
Start with the chicken wings and finish with an egg drop soup. Then sit back and enjoy a punch or any one of the many drinks they serve. As for the people, freindly relaxed and most intersting, the regulars.
The Beef Low Mein is the best in town, the prices are great and the servers are friendly... I recently catered a party and the Low Mein was a hit! The decor could use a bit of a rehaul, but then again the clientel would not be the same, great mix of uptown, downtown, and all around!... did I mention how great the Low Mein was?
The food here is really good but I come here often for their signature drink, The Wondrous Punch. I recommend this to anyone and everyone. The average person can have 1 punch and be good to go for the rest of the evening.
This noisy, crowded place has been popular with the hip, artsy crowd since the early 1980s, but do not be
intimidated. Everyone can enjoy the great food, friendly service and pleasant surroundings. Come for the spectacular fire roasted pizza, ...
