Good food, horrible service
I'd been really looking forward to trying Ecopolitan, but my Saturday lunchtime visit was extremely disappointing. The food was good -- the raw pizza comes on a delicious crackery crust; the casserole was a little bitter-tasting for my preference but still a fascinating combination of tastes -- but our service was *terrible*. We waited about 10 minutes to be acknowledged by the server; it was another 10 or 15 before she brought menus, and again before she returned to take our order. A full half hour later she returned to announce in a bored, disinterested way that she'd forgotten to put in our order and forgotten what we'd ordered. We were never offered an apology. When it came time to pay our bill we finally went in search of her after waiting 15 minutes for the card to be brought back out.
I understand that the food takes a while to prepare, but there's no excuse for such awful service. There were a handful of other people there but it wasn't that busy -- and no matter how packed a restaurant is, forgetting a customer's order for a full half hour deserves at least an apology.
Maybe dining here at a different time of day is better. Go for the food, but be prepared to possibly have a long, long wait -- our lunch experience took over two hours even with us skipping our planned dessert.
