Radisson Plaza Hotel Minneapolis

Description

The first Minneapolis Radisson dates back to 1909 when the city was best known as a "flourmill town." As times have changed, so has the Radisson. In fact, its original facilities were razed in favor of this sleek multi-story building. Guest rooms have modern amenities and all rooms offer great views. Many face a 16-story atrium while others have great views of the skyline. Guests can enjoy fine dining at Fire Lake Restaurant . The hotel is centrally located in downtown and is well connected to the skyway system.

My wife and I were on a weekend getaway and stayed here. We were very impressed from the moment we walked in. They were shooting a commerical in the lobby of the hotel when we got there and all we heard when we came in was, "We are so sorry for the inconvienence." The staff was friendly and very concerned about the comfort of our stay. The beds were comfortable, the linens fresh and the room was immaculate. We will definitely be staying here again. The hotel is almost central to everything that we wanted to see. We were able to go to dinner downstairs, make our play and walk around downtown afterwards. It was not so close that we were kept awake by the nightlife though. My wife and I plan on having other getaways and will definitely be looking at the Radisson as our home away from home.

Visit 10/18
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/20/07
I have stopped in your hotel many times because everyone is always so pleasant, friendly and helpful. However I must compliment your bell staff for being especially great last Friday. I had gone to a Target meeting without my briefcase.imagine that! I called and explained that it was in my room and within minutes's it arrived...saving my meeting! Thanks to them and to everyone in the hotel....my favorite hotel! Everett Terrell

Could have been better
By K, 8/1/07
They lost my reservation even though I had a copy of it with a number. Only able to accomodate me for one night. Room was OK. I'd be more upset but the Marriott across the street bailed Radisson out by finding me a nicer room for the remainder of my trip. I should have just went to the Marriott in the first place. Kudos to the Marriott, better try next time (although it won't be me trying the next time) for the Radisson.

Loved it!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/12/07
We ended up staying at the Radisson after we experienced horrible service and accommodations at the Marriott across the skyway. We were attending a marriage conference and it was our first weekend away from our toddler and newborn. The Radisson was happy to accommodate us and match the Marriott price. Every service person we encountered was so helpful and polite. We loved the sleep number bed! Our room had access to a cocktail hour lounge and we were really impressed with the setting, food and drinks. We also LOVED the restaurant attached to the lobby. We ate there three times during our overnight stay. We were attending a conference and the waitstaff was always mindful of our schedule and the need to get back. The food was excellent! I could have just cried as I was so happy with our experience. It really salvaged what started out as a pretty rough weekend of frustration. We tell this story and recommend this hotel to anyone who asks!

World Class in St Paul
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/29/06
The Radisson in St Paul has got to be one of the nicest places that I have ever stayed at! As soon as you walk in the door the staff sees you and smiles!! The rooms are out of this world with the plush carpet and the furnishings are super! You are close to everything in the city~from shopping to the Science Museum!!Very nice and I will go back!!
