great atmosphere and great for vegetarians! My boyfriend and I came here for a late night bite to eat and were just blown away that this place was in Minnesota! He had the fish and chips and I had the veggie burger. The atmosphere was really set up for privacy and it took the wait staff a little too long to find us, but other then that they were super friendly. We can't wait to go back!

This is a great place, it is a little dark and cramped depending where you sat! but the food was awesome! Not a real bid selection but do try the Wee Burgers they are so goooooood! I had the fish and chips and it was great. The homemade tarter is incredible! Fun atmosphere great leather couches,servers...alot of fun!

The Local has plent of beer on tap and serves Irish pub fare. Great atmosphere and conveniently located on Nicollet Mall in Downtown Minneapolis.

This is definitely one of my favorites in the twin cities. It is always full of interesting people, has lots of seating, and isn't so loud that you can't have good conversations with your friends. It's perfect for parties and casual nights out. The food is great too - but the mini burgers are anything but mini!!

Love stopping by here for the late night bar menu or for drinks. Great ambience, though it can get a little noisy. Summertime sidewalk patio seating also makes for great nightcap drinking after hitting the nearby jazz clubs, Rossi's and the Dakota.

I think this place has got to be HANDS DOWN the BEST pub in Minneapolis. They have authentic fish and chips, great beer, and their Irish Coffee is PERFECT. If you want to go to a place that has great ambiance, great service, and great food and drinks, with just a touch of that good ol' Irish tradition, come here. Sliante'!!

This restaurant has a secret, a hidden alcove in the back closed off by a curtain. It's the perfect place to sit and snuggle, indulge in some romance, and get away from the rest of the world. The food is good, whether you want a fast lunch or a leisurely dinner. Service is usually quite good, there is a choice of table, booth or bar seating, it's obvious that care was taken to make this as much a bit of Ireland in MN as possible.

It's downtown in feel, but Irish at heart. There are three pub areas inside and a very cool patio outside for smoking. The high ceilings and authentic decor make me feel like I'm in a New York type of Irish Pub, definitely not your normal neighborhood bar. But when it comes to the bartenders, I find they do. Always something funny, or at least a smile. Same with the servers. The food is great - with my favorite Fish & Chips in Minneapolis. And their late night menu takes care of my two - beer munchies. Definitely check it out for brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, they have one free bloody mary or mimosa or pint of beer with half of their featured brunch items. Sometimes there are huge crowds for Friday and Saturday nights, but if you can find a quiet spot, or come in on another time (Sunday has Movie-oke?), that is my recommendation. You'll be coming back all the time!
