Ludvig's Bistro Incorporated, Sitka

Located on a back street in Sitka is this tiny restaurant with amazing food. Wine list and service are first rate. My wife had the salmon, and let me taste...we both felt it was the best we had ever had anywhere. I had a wonderful pasta dish with amazing sauce and chorizio. We travel extensively and this food compares favourably with anything we've had in Mendocino county or at any Four Seasons restaurant.

Ludvig's definately has the best food in Sitka, and probably Southeast Alaska. The atmosphere there is festive and warm, and the staff is outstanding. It's a little small, but it adds to the charm. Everyone in out party was thrilled with their meals and desserts.

Ate at Ludvig's twice while I was in Sitka on a salmon fishing trip. Both times the appetizer, meal and dessert were out of this world. What an amazing find of a restaurant. Try the oysters for an appetizer and I highly recommend the Rock Fish & Chips and the Ciappino. I'll be back!
