Cookie Jar Restaurant, Fairbanks

I cannot say enough about this restaurant! Famous for it's confectionaries especially the owners famous HUGE cinnamon rolls which he has his famous cinnamon roll French toast with a side of honey baked spiral ham.. ohhhh yummy! We love going here for their fresh bread and great coffee too! The service is wonderful, and the place just has this wonderful home town feeling. Take your guests and visitors they will love it!!

The Cookie Jar is one of my favorite places to go for breakfast or lunch. Their omelets are fluffy and generously stuffed with meats and cheeses. You can choose from hash browns or homefries. The homefries get a much higher rating from me. And on the way out, I usually pick up a few cookies and cinnamon buns for snacking later. Lunch is also a good dining experience. I absolutely LOVE their Monte Cristo sandwich! The fact that lunch is served with salad is a huge plus. The salad isn't overly large, but it's fresh. Too bad it's in such an out of the way place. I forget it's there sometimes! There is also outside seating in the warmer months.

I love the Cookie Jar for breakfast, lunch or dinner...the food is great! My favorite side is the Steak Pottage soup and by far my favorite dessert is the Chocolate Truffle Pie! This restaurant is HIGH on my list of places to eat in Fairbanks!
