Just returned from an Alaskan tour which included a couple of nights in Fairbanks. Had read of good reviews about this restaurant pre-tour so we decided on dinner there the other night. The food is awesome, as good as any Thai food we've ever had, including food we've had throughout Thailand.
The service was good and prompt, the waitress friendly and beautiful (daughter of the proprietress) and did I mention the great food. Try the pad ped sam sahai (assorted seafood with some veggies) #20 on the extensive menu. The green curry with chicken was also excellent as was the pad thai and the tom yum soup. Since one of our party members was celebrating a birthday we were given a complimentary fried banana dish with a very crunchy crust over which was drizzled a light honey-like syrup...it was to died for.
The address has changed to 412 5th Street, a block down from the former downtown location. This is the place to go if you ever visit Fairbanks. Clean new place and the wonderful oders the minute you enter the place. Open year round except for a couple of weeks closure during the holidays. Alaska has a lot of odd laws, they should add a new one, make it a crime if you don't visit this restaurant when you're in Fairbanks! Highly recommended.
