Geraldo's Italian Restaurant, Fairbanks

The newly designed restaurant is awesome. The service, SUCKS! I have been there twice now and each time it took 2 hours (not over reacting) to get 1 plate of spaghetti. The second time, the spaghetti veges were still crunchy. I told the waiter how unhappy I was and she offered half off. Whatever, I was so irritated that time I just wanted to leave..I left a complaint on the table and filed one with the BBB. All I asked for was an apology for the crappy service I received twice. Still, nothing. They never responded. Classy. The food is fantastic (when you do get it!) but the salad bar is cheap and dinky. I would say go here if you have a few hours over wine to wait for your food.

Don t waste your time or money! Nothing innovative or fresh on the menu. Salad bar is short on fresh ingredients. My husband is vegan and usually can at least order pasta and marinara sauce at an Italian restaurant, but not here. Marinara has cheese and most of the wait-staff doesn t have a clue. If you do go there, ask for Kristin as your server!

The remodel is lovely. Wonderful atmostphere, great service. The problem I found is too much pepper in almost every dish. Imagine French Onion Soup loaded with pepper. Steamed zucchini heavy seasoned with only pepper. Otherwise wonderful eggplant parmesan also with a lot of pepper. This seasoning is something I prefer to add myself if I want it. I found I couldn t eat all the food because of so much pepper. Very disappointing. However, I will keep going there hoping that garlic comes back and pepper goes away.

Very nice. Excellent service with an amazingly polite staff. I have tried just about everything and they get it right everytime. Been back about a dozen times. They are expanding...finally! Prices are a little more than the others but not much. If you truely love garlic you will love this place. The music is always on and so is the atmosphere. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK FOLKS!

This is a FANTASTIC restaurant! The servings were perfect sized, the staff was very very very friendly! Very attentive too:) The food was deliicious, I'm lactose intolerant and I was able to find something tasty for under 20:D The atmosphere was romantic. I was very pleased at finding this treasure... I recommend this restaurant 110%

Have returned 3 times now, & will go back again. its a very nice little place, the servers are very friendly and cheerfull. its always nice and warm, (just dont sit by the glass window or near the door though). If they are busy expect yto wait a bit. I always order the dinner specials. They have many very good wine, beer, and desert selections too'

Their moto is say yes to garlic, but that's all I tasted in my food. The price was too much for what you get. The service was friendly.

Geraldo's has the best pizza ever! When we lived in Fairbanks, we'd get takeout pizza from Geraldo's at least once a week - veggie garlic lovers was my absolute fav. For the last two years, we have been traveling all over the country in our motorhome and we have yet to find any pizza that even compares - and trust me, we've looked.

they need to dust, bad! they have a collection of beer cans ontop of the falling down salad bar ad its raunchy, but the food is good, excellent escargot!

The food was really great. Fettuccini was excellent. Service was great. The only problem was the place is really small for the kind of business that they get. The restrooms are really cold like standing outside to utilize the facilities. No doors on the stalls, but they have curtains. Over all besides the establishment the food and service was good.
