Bombay Deluxe Indian Rstrnt, Anchorage

Last night was the first time that I had been to Bombay and I was truly delighted, the food was of good quality and quantity, the Lamb was cook wonderful still juicy and tender, the Curry sauce was not too spicy, Food scale 0-10 a 10+ , Price is about that of a nice restaurant in anchorage Plan on about $50.00 for a couple so scale of 0-10 about a 8, Service now on that one they did shine. server was busy but never missed a beat was at the table within a few seconds with a glass of water and menus and a smile, with in a couple of minutes she was back for the order, a second waitress brought the appetizer in about 10 min and the food arrived before we finished the appetizer, they checked back several times and never let my drink glass run dry, the owner visited the table twice during our visit so on a scale of 0-10 a 10+, the restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was very stylish, another 10, this place deserves 5 stars and I will be back soon. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Love their buffet, vegetable korma is amazing, and the cabage dish is out of this world. Favorite lunch spot. Staff is very nice and offers to put certain foods out if you call ahead.

I like their M-F lunch buffet, and their hot tea (with cardamon and other spices).

We ordered takeout and it was terrible. Dry and unappitizing.

Yumm, The only Indian place I have found in Anchorage so far. The food was wonderful. They had what appeared to be inexperienced wait staff. I am more than willing to deal with the service for the great food.

The food is excellent, and it has a pleasant atmosphere. I've had Indian food in other cities, and even in London where it is a local specialty, and the food here is great. The waitstaff are friendly, but service does tend to be slow. This is not just because everything is cooked to order. It is just slow. It is worth the wait, but I prefer to order take out, and they do deliver. Or go for lunch when they have a buffet set up.

Simple atmosphere with great fragrant indian cusine. They offer sampler platters that allow you to try a number of dishes. We both brought leftovers home. The service was fine -- but I'm not sure it's a place you'd want to go if you're in a hurry. For the moderate price, I found the food and setting to be great. Nice place for a date or a great place to take the kids to instill a little culture and variety.

I love Bombay. The food is good and it is a nice change from the more common restaurants in the area. Beware on going on Friday night or go right when they open or later in the evening, it can get crazy busy for such a small place. I can't wait until the Eagle River one is open.
