You will know the moment you walk in that this is not your typical brew pub. The scent of the alder wood grill and wood fired oven, the energy of the sparking exhibition cooking line and the glow of the brewery delight your senses. The BrewHouse features rotisserie grilled meats, the freshest Alaskan seafood, wood fired pizza and award winning hand crafted ales. The BrewHouse is Anchorage's downtown landmark restaurant- Where Alaskans meet Alaskans .
one of the best we've tryed, and even better one of the unique betters that are open until reasable hours.
good food, but no really special bright
not cheap for world's level but normal for Alaska
Had a day to spend in Anchorage between a cruise & our flight home. Hungry, looking for a good meal & like to try local brews. This fit the bill! Terrific food (I had beer-battered halibut and a great soup. The other 3 people with me had other things and spoke just as highly of them).Tried two beers myself, and I think the ESB special was the best beer I've ever had. Aged in Jim Beam casks after fermentation, it added to the full roundness and smooth taste. Highly recommended. Our server was friendly and attentive.
this place has wonderful food and the value is just incredible..the staff has fun and it certainly shows im a local and even though its becoiming tourist season, im going to go as often as i can! try the cajun halibut and the ale cheddar pot! and nothing can go wrong with a bread pudding for dessert topped with a bit of ice cream!
The smell of alderwood fills the restaurant and adds a distinct and flavorful element to their dishes. Great selection, presentation and flavor! Service was great and the beer (and wine) selections are good, too.
Our family loved this restaurant and went twice.
The place is warm and unformal, the staff is really friendly and takes time in letting you know the dishes and beers. We were offered to taste a few beers before ordering.
The food was excellent and the beers unforgettable.
The kids portions are still very big.
If you don't go early, you should better book a table. There are long queues, especially on week-ends.
with a great selection on their menu, they are sure to please your tastebuds. I found that the service was above any that i have had in a long life of traveling. Their moose antlur fireplace is very cool...enjoy it and be sure to take advantage of their great brewery.
The ambiance at the Glacier Brewhouse is upper class and the service is impeccable. All the food was very good except for the dry king crablegs. Need I say more? When I went to Alaska I dreamed about getting the best King Crablegs ever! I did not get them.
Sun 7/30/06 we ate at Glacier Brewhouse while staying at the Marriott 2nd night of our Royal Caribbean Alaska Land Tour. Was told wait would be 2 hr 45 min. Our wait was 1 hr 45 min & well worth the wait. Hubby had the Crusted Halibut and my daughter & I sampled and agree that it is the best ever Crusted Halibut we have ever had! I had the Alaska King Crab Leg appetizer (2 legs) as my meal & they were the best I've ever had! Daughter had a Meditterean Pizza which she liked as well as the Halibut of her Dad's. Waitress treated us to complimentary dessert since our order was late in coming out. Hubby had Bread Pudding whigh he said was best ever. Daughter & I shared the Dark Chocolate Torte and it was delicious. Would love for a TX version of Glacier Brewhouse to open here.
I have visited this uniquely Alaskan restaurant many times, and have never been dissapointed. The quality of food and service found at the Brewhouse is fit for a king! Try one of the great beers brewed on site!
