The food was awful when I went there a month ago 11/2011. They kept pushing the halibut on us and I caved in and got the halibut spaghetti. The halibut was really old and smelled fishy. I didn't like the new cook they have the pasta was disgusting. I didn't even finish my meal I threw it away. The whole thing was overpriced for the crappy food I got. The service was alright.

I don't know how this restaurant got 4.5 stars. We just went there yesterday. I had chicken marsala, the flavor was bland, the mushrooms were limp and the tomato sauce for the pasta came from a jar. I recognized the flavor instantly from when I made a dish at home. My boyfriend ordered the Gyro's dish and got food poisoning almost as soon as we left the restaurant. No thanks! If you want REAL italian, go to Little Italy on 88th Street in South Anchorage.

The wait staff is pleasant, and the food is good. Vegetarians just need to know that the dolmades APPETIZERS are rice and herbs, but the dolmades as LUNCHES (SAME NAME as appetizer) have meat. There is no warning on the luncheon portion of the menu. When I complained to the waitress her response seemed to indicate that I should KNOW the luncheon version had meat, while the appetizer didn't. How I was I supposed to know is a mystery. They did exchange the dolmades for rice and when they did, the meal was very good. The chicken/rice/lemon soup is wonderful.

LOCAL FAVORITE!

This is one of Anchorage's hidden jewels. My family loves coming here for the soup, salads, and meatball subs. The wait staff know my family buy heart, and have our appatizers ordered before we even get to our seats. This is a great place for families or for a fun and casual date. I love sitting out on the patio during the summer.

I got a combo platter and I have no idea what I was eating but it was all great. Couldn't fit in desert. Next time I am going to eat half my dinner (take home the other half) and order desert.

LOVE IT!

I actually lived in Greece for 2 years with my family. Ever since we moved we have been on the look out for a place that serves authentic Greek and Italian food. When we first saw the outside it looked like it would be decent but not great. But once you step inside you feel warm and welcome. The food is magnificent and very much like real Greek food. Highly recommend the Kalamari and the custard is to die for.
