Mc Guire's Irish Restaurant, Yakima

Some of us locals call McGuire's MG's. I have been going to MG's for many years. The owner is one of the kindest people that I know. MG's is a unique place, part of it is a restaurant and the other part is a cozy Irish pub, complete with dartboards and decor from Ireland. The building that MG's is located in was an old residence. The atmosphere reminds me of always being home. Maybe it's because it used to be a home. If you are lucky enough to stop in during the morning you can order a wonderful breakfast that will be cooked to order. I recommend having an Irish Coffee in the morning or on a cold winter day. Trust me, it will warm you up. The Dinner menu offers choices that will lead you away from traditional Yakima fare. You will see items on the menu like Bubble and Squeak or Shepard's Pie. Irish and English style dinners is what you can find at MG's when visiting there for dinner. They also offer burgers and seafood. The pub side of the establishment offers appetizers that can be ordered. Some of the items offered are mozzarella sticks, nachos, and deep fried veggies. The appetizer menu is above par and can certainly satisfy those that have the munchies. MG's also sells t-shirts and sweatshirts with their logo on it. I have also seen aprons and hats sold there over the years too. I have always enjoyed visiting MG's and look forward to visiting it many more times in the future. If you haven't been there before, stop in and give yourself a treat. If you have been there before, go back in and visit the place. MG's is one of the best places to go in Yakima.
