I have been going to this restaurant since it opened and have never been disappointed. This place is a family run business by the husband and wife.
Unlike a lot of places I have eaten at, in the Vancouver area, this place is run by two people from Japan. And I have eaten at a lot of family run restaurants (in Japan). Most of them are restaurants on the first floor and the family living on the floor above, so literally you are in their home. this place has a very similar atmosphere. I do know that the chef grew up, and was trained in the Osaka area, and the wife is from Tokyo area. And I do know that they make all their food by hand with no additives like MSG. Their flavor is unique and unexpected for this small of a store. There is a bit of a wait for the food, but please remember that there is only two of them and they are making food to order( not ready made ). actually, its the same way in Japan, for those whom have never been there before.
I enjoy the Dragon roll, Spicy Tuna roll and the Washington roll, and my kids enjoy the Katsudon bowls and Tofu Karaage that his wife makes.
This is very good food and a very reasonably priced BIG menu, with a lot of tasty food to choose from.
I will be back, again and again
