GREAT EXPERIENCE YET AGAIN!!! WE HAVE BEEN TO THIS PLACE ABOUT 6 TIMES AND EACH TIME IS JUST AS GOOD AS THE LAST... I NOTICED TODAY THAT THIS VENUE IS FOR SALE AND IT SADDENS ME TREMENDOUSLY TO THINK IT COULD CHANGE HANDS AND THEREFORE CHANGE QUALITY OF FOOD COOKED IN THE RESTAURANT...
Tried this place on the recommendation of a local friend, since I'm travelling in the area on business. I've been here 3 times for breakfast in the last month and I love the food AND the service. Their huge coffee mugs are nice too ! It helps to come early on the weekends to avoid lines. I notice a previous reviewer wished they'd had a sign-in list to come back later when lines were long. C'mon, this isn't a city with Red Lobsters and Applebee's - it's a tiny little town, so deal.
Great food, large portions, friendly atmosphere, reasonable prices. Something for everyone on their menu. I highly recommend it to my friends and family. Being raised on a farm in eastern Washington, I come to the table with a large appetite. Besides the kites and the sand castles, Laurie's is a big draw for my family.
I haven't been to Lauries in a while but felt compelled to write after reading about the poor snooty service. My experience at Laurie's was delightful. The owner Laurie was there and working her tail off as were all the staff. The tables are small and its fast paced, but the coffee mugs, plates, and biscuits are big and so are the hearts of the staff at this most friendly cafe. It was hands down the best breakfast I'd ever had and I highly recommend the place to anyone. I travel quite a bit, have been known to be a bit snooty myself at times, but have to say this ranks number one in my choices for breakfast anywhere. .
Excellent breakfast. Plenty comes on your plate, and every table has a great selection of hot sauces to burn your tongue. Great place for Sunday breakfast, but get there early for seating or wait in line for a while.
Best breakfast and service I've had at a restaurant hands down. I love this place! Now we never go anywhere else when we visit the Peninsula, we did a couple of times before but the other places couldn’t compare.
If you haven’t tried Laurie's you need to. I only wish there was something like this in the Portland Metro area.
A beautiful bed and breakfast that is decorated with comfortable furniture, luxury beds, and antiques. Enjoy the beautiful gardens and
spacious common areas. Well appointed guest rooms feature three inch foam pillow tops with colorful quilts or down comforters ...
