Beaches Restaurant & Bar, Vancouver

We liked the new look . The service was horrible. The waitress Tonya was not very attentive and when she did come around she was very intrusive and in our face. When we were in a conversation she always managed to interrupt in a loud voice. One person in our party didn't get his order undtil we were all finished with ours. She didn't even come around to let him know why his food wasn't ready. He should have gotten his food complimentary. At the end she apologized and that was it. We stopped going to Beaches because of the loud servers. It is too bad because we like the food and the happy hour.

What a great restaurant! We go for special events or to just have a glass of wine (good selection of reds) and some calamari. Just celebrated my wife's birthday and once again they made the evening memorable. Thank you to the understanding staff and Mark, you rock!

Too expensive for what you get. The food is bland. Basically, you're paying for the view of the Columbia. I'd just walk along it instead and wave at the customers that are bending over. :)

well I have heard of beaches lots of times, and decided to go there. took my wife and kids and well, I really don't know where to start, the food was not bad but it wasn't great, actually it was like goin to mcdonalds just something fast to eat, our server was young and pretty but not bright at all!! the food took too long I only got 3...yes! I said 3 veggies and a little bit of mashed potatoes the presentation was horrible and totally not worth the price anyways will not recomend it to anybody.

We had a suprise 40th birthday party here for my husband. Even with our large group (22 people) the service was excellant (as always!), food was terrific (as always!), and the atmosphere fantastic. We always think of Beaches first when planning a night out.

Food is good, atmposphere is welcominging and friendly. The staff is wonderful with kids and they have specail stuff for the little ones. Love it!

Beaches has a great view of the river, a bunch of out side seating, and really good food. It's a bit loud sometimes probably because it's so busy. So if you are looking for a quiet dinner you may want to pick another place. But if you are looking for a good meal, pretty people to watch, and really good happy hour - this may be your joint! Parking can be hard to find- especially around happy hour/dinner time, but they have their own cute taxi to get you back to your car after a filling meal.

Beaches Restaurant & Bar is a great place to relax be it afternoon or evening. My experience has been that it's a hot spot for local City Officials and County/City office workers to meet for Happy Hour. Having said that, I too like to enjoy their Happy Hour because it's inexpensive and they are pretty fast in delivering the food & drinks to the table. THE GOOD: Fast friendly delivery of drinks. Fast friendly delivery of food. Excellent food. Ever-changing menu leaves me guessing what they'll think of next! Sampler menu is unique, creative in their approach. Theme and decor is friendly, welcoming and a great place in general. Good background music, seagull sound track in the entry. Outdoor plants add a nice touch Beautiful Columbia River waterfront views. THE BAD: Their staff goes a bit 'over board' on the fake smiles Staff gets a bit too chummy by writing my name down upon meeting. Alcohol prices are simply too high for this local market Interior dB noise is awkward at best -very high after noon and night Cocktail lounge is too small. Cocktail tables and seating is at a premium day or night. Isle through cocktail lounge very narrow Men's restroom features just one stall. Odd shaped triangle bathroom. Parking outside is very limited. TV in lounge seems always tuned to sports station. (Nothing else on?)

Wonderful service - it was our Anniversary and they even gave us a special menu with our names on it. Excellent food and drinks. We almost didn't go because of the two negative reviews we read on Beaches - I am glad we tried for ourselves or we would have missed out on a delightful time. I guess if you don't like the noise choose the time of day you go, it was very peaceful on a Sunday.
