Hawaiian style
By Lynn, 3/7/05
I've been here both for lunch and brunch. For lunch I've gotten the vegetarian Asian noodle bowl, which is noodles seasoned with a soy ginger dressing, served hot with stir fry vegetables. When I eat brunch there I purchase the Kailua (sp?), which is veggies and tofu in a curry suace. Sometimes it tastes like they change the taste of Kailua and it doesn't always taste the same.

This place is fantastic. From the Mai Tai's to the Poke I felt like I was transported back to Hawaii. The Kalua Pork nachos are yummy, nirvana shrimp, Hoison Chick Skewers.....everything was amazing....the best I have had stateside. Servers were attentive and knowledgeable, HIGHLY recommended!

great place for breakfast or lunch! We went for the breakfast recently and the teriyaki burger is awesome. I recommend everyone try it. Cool atmosphere too!

My husband and I went here for lunch. The food was wonderful! We had the Flash Fried Calamari as our starter and the Coconut Crunchy Shrimp and Kalua Pig for our main meal. Excellent! We love that Tommy uses local, fresh, and organic ingredients (when possible). The quality of the food makes this very evident. Our service was also wonderful. So glad we found this place.

This place deserves MORE than 5 stars! Really a top-notch establishment. Surprised to see only a couple reviews here! AMAZING food in an equally AMAZING atmosphere! I LOVE this place, and the quantness about it. Tommy is the real deal straight from the Islands, and his food shows it. The specials are always amazing, and now with their new addition - they're offering 9-midnight happy hour treats with live music on weekends! (Let me tell ya - finding a place open in downtown Vancouver after 9pm is a miracle in itself!) And they're right down the street from the Regal Cinima which makes for a great date night! Their stir-frys are great, as is the pulled pork choices. Everything is super-duper fresh, and it just makes you feel good when you're there. Staff is well trained and very attentive. I can't say a bad thing about this place!

Great Service and great Food
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/26/06
We ate there for dinner last week and were surprised at how wonderful the service and food was for a Hawaiin style cafe. Mike our waiter was very attentive and well informed about the food for all our questions. We admit we can be high maintenence but he took care of our needs with a smile.Highlights were the macadamia coated halibut our waiter recomended and the fantastic haupia we had for dessert. They have a nice happy hour with a Hawaiin Mai Tai and a reasonably priced wine list. We have added this pleasant surprise of a restuarant to our regular list and only wish we had found it sooner. Aloha Tommy O's !!
