Country Cousin, Centralia

Home style is how I'd describe their food. Normally I'm not a fan of home style because it implies a lack of quality. Not in this case because Country Cousin does homestyle so well I felt as if I were sitting at the dinner table at Grandma's on Thanksgiving once again. There are places serving trendier, fresher cuisines but this place nearly brought a nostalgic tear to my eye. Portions are pleasantly large. To me the house specialty is yak burgers and steaks, both lean and delicious. Normally I don't care for homestyle food but they do it so well I keep going back and can't get enough. It's like Grandma still lives down the street. When we want to be guaranteed a filling, wholesome meal in a warm atmosphere this is where we go.

We drive from Portland to the ball games,and always stop for the chicken fried steak. The food is very good,staff is nice and is cozy. Have breakfast, lunch or dinner, it's all good. Will be there soon.

Great Food with huge portions. A little pricey. Service was substandard. I shouldnt have to ask for napkins, more coffee, the check, or wait 12 minutes for a high chair.

Country Cousin has great home cooked food. It is a great place to meet friends and have a fun casual meel any time of the day. I love this place!

Country Cousins is like our only local food restraunt left now that sharies is gone.... But, over all Country cousins is the best.... Best price for what you getting.... the other night i went there and i recevied A huge omlet and a huge amount of hash browns... plus 4 piece of toast... i definetly got my moneys worth,... i recommend it... also it is just so fun to go in there... they have so many decorations and what not ... trust me... fun... even at 14 its a great place i went in there and seen this cool tractor with a gorilla and bear in it... i will always come back for more....alyshea

Excellent food. Their pot roast and chicken can't be beat. The fried chicken dinner is made to order - thus the 15 minute wait and well worth it. The wait staff is excellent - they really go the extra mile.

The atmosphere is really fun and relaxing. The food is good and tastes homemade. There's a giftshop for the people passing through, It is located right off I-5 so it's always busy. But that just keeps the prices reasonable.

This place is as old as I am, going on 34 years, and the quality, quaint charm, and taste of the food hasn't changed a bit. A great place to stop and enjoy a great sandwich for lunch, or have a hearty dinner. The decor is made to be like you're on a farm, with lots of knick-knacks, and a little gift shop to take home a little something along your journey. They have the best 1000 Island salad dressing I've ever tasted. The secret is a little horse radish. Their homemade soups are also very delicious! Their breakfasts are also hearty and tasty.
