You have to hunt to find this place but the search is well worth it. We got there about a half hour before closing and they said they could only do take-out. But it turned out just fine, we ate on their outdoor deck and they were still cleaning up when we left. It is a really small place in the back of a little grocery store. And it is decorated in a great seaport way. We had the fish tacos and let me just say they were AWESOME!! The best I have ever had. They had amazing looking desserts on display but we were way too full to have any of them. Every bite of the tacos were full of great taste. Can t wait to try some of their other items. And the water front view is nice to take in while enjoying your meal. They are a bit pricey but worth it (15.99 for two large tacos and a side).
The greatest little restaurant you will find anywhere. I've never been there when it wasn't busy so go early and plan to enjoy the view. GREAT burgers and the home made pies are to die for !! If you travel any where near Seabeck, be sure and stop at Barbie's Seabeck Bay Café. Run by Barbie and her whole family and you will find every one is friendly.
Everyone talks about the amazing pies (and with just cause!), but if you want a great meal don't miss out on the Dungeness Crab sandwiches and her homemade Chilli!!! Her breakfast skillets are AMAZING and the biscuits that are served awaken the most nostalgic of taste buds to Grandma's baking! Adding to the ambience are the gorgeous natural surroundings that Seabeck, WA has to offer! Definitely worth the drive! Hey Yahoo! you got any extra stars I could give to this out of the way gem?
We had the best pie ever @ Barbie's, not to mention the apple dumpling which was to die for. We also had a great breakfast, better have an appetite they serve in big portions ! The atmosphere was wonderful and the servers were excellent. The view was great too, right on the water. Highly recomend this place.
We moved to the area last year and found this little sea side cafe while we were out on a drive. It is a little mom and pop shop with the best home made cooking! It is nice to find a little place like home in a world of fast food and poor customer service. I really felt like I was enjoying a dinner at mom's!
My husband and I feel very lucky to live in this area. The everyday drive into work is something to look forward to. Barbie's is great I've gone for many meals and have enjoyed everyone. And the Pies are by far the very best ever!! The girls there are the nicest. And the view of the water and mountatins is not bad to bad either.
Hubby and I decided to go for a bike ride and came across Barbie Seabeck Cafe along the way. The ladies who work here are so awesome and OMG the pie is to DIE FOR - take one home! Everything was absolutely fabulous, went well with the view; but I was too fascinated by the Salmon Burger to pay attention to the view. The ladies gave us a sample of their sugar free cake and I honestly couldn't tell the difference - it was really good too - not dry by any means.
Take a ride out there if you don't live in the area, it's a nice drive and great food.
