Lobster Shop South
Welcome to the Lobster Shop South, located on Ruston Way on the waterfront in Tacoma. The Lobster Shop restaurants have been operating since 1977, offering some of the Pacific Northwest's favorite seafood dishes. The restaurant sits over the waters of Commencement Bay, offering breathtaking views of both Mount Rainier and the Olympic Mountain Range. During the summer months the restaurant offers outdoor dining and with a dock available for boaters, makes for an excellent day getaway. The Lobster Shop has always been the place where the South Sound loves to celebrate; whether a birthday, anniversary or promotion you just can't beat the atmosphere. Annually rated by the well known Zagat Survey, the Lobster Shop takes a great deal of pride in making sure that every experience is a memorable one. We look forward to serving you soon.
The brunch buffet on sundays is a treasure! Specifically if you go when the terrace is open, it's our tradition for mothersday now, they have warming lamps so the seabreeze isn't too chilly. I highly recomend this place!
While you may enjoy fine dining in formal wear at New Year's Eve events or other such moments, to go for a family birthday for 3 or more or just a great night out, you need the fine dining and ambience of this facility to give a grand event of the day or evening. You may be coming off of your yacht at their moorage to dine or driving in your car. In either case your attire will not declass you from the fine service or food available as long as you are clean and in presentable fashion. If you have to ask market price on lobster, forget asking, it is always $25 for a tail or more, regardless of market. This is the price of fine dining with a great meal, if you want lobster for less, catch it yourself. You might try ordering your steak of choice and splitting a lobster tail between two. This always works for us as we love both, but two meals per person is too much. Bon Appetite! Karen in Tacoma.
