Greek Islands, Anacortes

I was able to go to this wonderful & authentic restaurant twice; looking forward to a long trip again soon. I always have lamb, as it's to die for, & even got a lesson on how to cook it myself. There is enough food served per plate to take leftovers home, but no matter how full you are, the Baklava is a must have for dessert. The owners are the sweetest & most loving people I have ever met. They make you feel like you are family from the moment you meet them, & the hugs are like those from your own parents or family members. I recommend the Greek Islands as the best restaurant on the planet. Wish it could be bigger, but then this couple rarely even has time for a vacation. I'm betting that even Yanni would love this place; just like home, whether you are Greek or not.

GREAT AUTHENIC GREEK FOOD ON THE MAIN STREET OF ANACORTES, IN WASHINGTON. FRIENDLY, HARD WORKING STAFF SERVE GREAT PORTIONS FOR LUNCH OR DINNER. PARKING IN REAR...SOMETIMES CROWDED. GREAT SOUPS AND WONDERFUL STUFFED GRAPE LEAVES. GOOD COMBO PLATE.
