New Peking, Bellingham

I went here because the reviews were mostly good--€”from the appearance of the restaurant I would never have guessed. And indeed, the food was great (I particularly recommend the steamed dumplings), the service was quite good, and the staff friendly and likable. I will admit that the negative review which complained about the smell had a point. But once the food came, I stopped noticing it, and didn't even remember it had been a problem until my way out. Overall, surprisingly good!

Our family has been going there for over ten years since we moved to Bellingham. Our favorites are the Vegetarian Moo Shoo and Mongolian tofu. Sam and Jessica and their family provide the most polite and friendly service we have received anywhere. They are almost more reason for us to keep coming back than the food. You definitely need to try it out.

This is possibly my favorite restaurant of all time. I have been eating there for over ten years and go there every chance I get. Not only do I love their food, but I love the service there as well.

New Peking is the worst chinese food I have ever had! What a waste of $10! I should've known when I walked in at dinner time and there was no one in the place! The restaurant smelled so terrible that I felt nauseous. I actually waited outside until my food was done because it smelled so bad. The dish I ordered was soggy old chicken with a sauce that looked like dog vomit. I took one bite of it and couldn't finish it. The dish didn't even taste like it was supposed to. I highly recommend not wasting your time or money.

very good food and prices in a freindly atmosphere. pot stickers and hot&sour soup are musts! a nice small family owned and operated business.

As other reviewers have said, easily the best Mandarin / Schezuan restaurant in Bellingham. Excellent food and very friendly service at this family restaurant. Great vegetarian selection, too!
