Shorty's Falls Short
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/22/10
This bar is located in the middle of the Seattle's night life surrounded by many other options of night clubs and dive bars. I have been to this place a couple of times now and they do have a cramped pinball room with about 10 games and over rated "New York" hot dogs. I grew a disliking to the place when i saw the "hip" bar tender lady throw a childish tantrum and the secuirity display pathedic scene of power tripping on a customers because he dindn't tip enough WOW but its a great place if your in seattle's growing elite crowd of snobby tattooed vegan transplants NOT FOR ME.

Shorty's is shady
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/10/09
I won't lie, this place is pretty shady. It's on a strip of interesting bars on second street, and draws a varied crowd. If you feel like being part of the weird crowd, then by all means, enjoy the pinball, and drinks.

Great place. Great food too and it's a bonus that they have vegetarian options. The backroom is stuffed with old pinball machines which is perfect. If you want cheap beer, pinball machines and clown paintings (and really, who doesn't?) this is the place to go.

Out of all the bars and pubs in bell town has to be one of the most chill and friendly places i have ever been to. Great drinks and relly cool atmoshere... it's a smaller place but holds in the people like magnets! You get the local feel while @ shorty's!

PINBALL
By Bagthis, 9/23/05
when you walk into shorty's, the only pinball machine's you see are used as tables, for their booths. the machine's are in the back. IF you're ever in search of a place to pinball in Seattle, this is the place. my review's slanted towards the place because of all the machines that they have there, at least 10-12 machines [working] with at least 1 Elector-Magnetic game [roller-over scoring] to play. With a full bar and pretty good sauges, you never have to leave. did i mention the pinball? Everybody that works there always is helpfull, once you got their attention ;-) slamKGB

Good child-like fun for adults
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/17/05
I like this place. It has that creepy/seedy feel to it but with pinball games and killer hotdogs and beer. What's there to complain about? Pure shameless fun. Careful though..there are a lot of pinball junkies. Try to avoid bets, as you may lose your beer or your high score. Located in Belltown in downtown Seattle. Also sandwiched between a few good bars and the famous Crocodile Cafe(music venue). You must try once, at least. PROS: Pinball, hotdogs, beer, weird people, location CONS: pinball wizards, weird people, small area

Good Old School and New Video Game Selection, Yummy Food!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/10/05
I love this place so much....where to start. Lots of fun lights and crazy evil and sad clown decor. They have the tastiest hot dogs ever, and the strangest selection of other food items. For example, they offer organic TV dinner, which I admittedly have not eaten, but it sounds like it might be yummy. I usually stick to the Vienna Beef hot dog, Chicago Sytle, to remind me of my hometown, or the nachos. They also have veggie dogs for the veggie peeps. Aside from the games, they also have some activites, such as Wrestling Night, where you can gather round the TV at the bar and watch some WWE Wrestling with some interesting folks. On other nights they have an interesting mix of DJ's spinning. Not that there is any room to dance, you just listen while you get your video games on. They have a great selection of pinball games in the back room, and in the front room they have my two personal favorite games, Buckhunter, and a stand-up Ms. PacMan, which very unfortunately has an unlimited continue feature that PROS: Great location, great games, yummy hot food, not too pricey beer, comfy booths to sit in, and an interesting mix of customers; all these a great combo for a fun outing. CONS: Bathrooms slightly gross, hard to find a place to sit on the weekends, but you should be up playing games anyway!

Shorty's
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/12/05
Shorty's is a Coney Island-style pinball bar. The front room consists of a clown-adorned bar, circus-themed frescos, old school arcardes, and cozy booths ingeniously made of retro pinball machines. The melange of pinball games in back range from JackBot to the Addams Family to Lord of the Rings. Shorty's menu offers the regular array of bar drinks along with a variety of hot dogs (meat or vegi) and nachos (all under 4 bucks!). If you're into pinball, check out the annual pinball tournaments, general & powderpuff. PROS: A pinball lover's heaven. CONS:
