This is NOT your father's King Wha! Indeed, present owner Liann appears to have either lost interest in maintaining this joint's once stellar legacy, or feels he has made enough money to now scam his loyal clientele. Chefs go through revolving doors now, and hostess-daughter (a wannabe cheerleader princess) is totally clueless in the art of customer service -- leave alone old-fashioned oriental hospitality. Don't waste your money on substandard fare and insulting customer service here; there are many other Mandarin alternatives around in neighboring Des Moines and Tukwila

My husband and I were returning to Mexico after our vacation in Alaska so with just one last night in the U.S. before heading back down to the land of tacos we had to find some Chinese food. King Wha was recommended by the bartender in our hotel (DoubleTree airport) so we jumped in a cab and found ourselved sitting at a table within 10 minutes. The menu is huge but fortunately the waitress made some recommendations that got us going in the right direction. We ordered three dishes but two would have been more than enough to stuff ourselves. Everything was fantastic and really fresh. We had really high expectations since we wouldn't be having fresh Chinese food again anytime soon and King Wha definitely didn't disappoint. I am now craving their Mu Shu Pork from 3000 miles away.

The food is great and out the door for $7 during lunch, includes tea and soup.Food is pretty healthy and not drenched in grease.Great condiments too, chili oil for one,my favorite,I could drink this stuff for breakfast.I had the Chicken with Chili Sauce, was very good and the Sweet and Sour Chicken, excellent.Spike the Sweet and Sour Chicken with about 4 tsps of the chili oil, trust me,try it!or have a Chili Oil drinking contest.I'm not serious about the later BTW They now have a really good small grain brown rice that you can sub for white rice costs $1 to sub,I never had brown rice with Chinese before and it was really good, especially this short grain variety they serve.

This is great chinese food. Our favorites are the sizzling rice soup and the orange beef. Both are a must have, especially the orange beef. The service is excellent. This place has been our favorite for 15 years, even though it is a 30 minute drive. Their meat dishes are always meaty. You get your money's worth. Can get crowded but always a place to sit. I can't say enough. Very, very reasonable with large portions!!

The best Hot and Sour Soup I have ever had anywhere. Very good food at reasonable prices. And good portions too. My personal favorite is Diced Chicken and peanuts. Lots of veggies and lots of chicken with some red peppers thrown in for a kick. Very good sweet and sour chicken too. This place is my favorite in South Seattle.

Best Chinese food in the South King County area. I especially enjoyed the Bird Drop soup.

My favorite restaurant! The food is excellent and affordable. Don't miss the lunch specials. It is the best deal in town. The mongolian beef and hot and sour soup are the best menu items, but everything is good!

The ambience is nothing special but the food is great, comes quickly, and the service is very friendly. Be sure to try the Hot and Sour Soup, almost a meal in itself. We've been going since the restaurant opened (about 25 years ago). Excellent value.

Want some beef in your Mongolian Beef instead of a little beef with all those darn vegetables???? They serve Mongolian Beef with nothing but beef !!!!!! And a LARGE plate at that for less than 8.00 !!! I have never waited more than 10 min. for my food and that was during the dinner hour. I havent even told you about their lunch specials all under 6.00 and I have to tell you that the Hot and Sour soup has chicken, vegetables, tofu and when ordered as a side there is also large shrinp in there too!!
