Description

This beautiful mid-20th Century Ballroom boasts one of the largest dance floors in Seattle. With 2,000 square feet, there's plenty of room for everyone. Take lessons in salsa, lindy hop and East Coast swing, starting with the basics. Once you've got your moves, you're ready to attend the ballroom's full range of dance events, held year-round. The ballroom allows no smoking, and is restricted to those over 21. An on site cafe offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Refuel your rhythmic body at the cafe on the premises.

Salsa, swing, tango, ballroom, same-sex -- whatever you are looking for in terms of social dancing, Century Ballroom has something wonderful for you. It's a great nightclub (esp. Thursday & Saturday salsa), and the combination of food/dancing is an exceptionally good deal. But it's certainly more than just a great nightclub -- it's an open and warm community, with great leadership and values. As a result, it's accessible (the prices/covers are low), friendly and safe (single women can feel comfortable coming any night of the week for good dancing). And for those of us who love to dance and happen to be lesbians -- well, there is no place as fabulous (and unique) as Century Ballroom.

Perfect if you love to dance!
By ,
Century Ballroom is a great venue. They have classes and open dance sessions for all kinds of dancing (salsa, ballroom, ...). If you're hooked on dancing, give it a try. Or if you're not, give it a try and see what we all love so much.

Fabulous Salsa Dancing
By ,
This is the BEST place to go Salsa dancing as a single, especially Thursday nights. The cover is almost nonexistent, it's smoke free and the dance floor is perfect. Oh yeah, and there's a pretty good restaurant as well.

More than just a ballroom, it is an experience!
By ,
Century Ballroom is probably the most popular ballroom for salsa dancing. Thursdays and Saturdays are when the local experts come out and show off their moves. The rustic setting ballroom is well kept and a center stage for live bands offers more than just dancing but an experience to never forget. Men always ask the ladies to dance and even if your a beginer it is easy to catch on fast. Century offers a unique experience for beginers by teaching them basic salsa moves before they open the dance floor to everyone. This lesson helps a ton if you are new! Within a few Saturdays, I was dancing with the some of the local salsa experts.

The best
By ,
Its the best place in Seattle for serious and dedicated dancers. Clean, non-smoking and the clients dress well for the environment. The mood is very friendly and yet professional.

It a short but great experience.
By ,
Ambiance is great and the dance floor is huge. Although the music is not up to date and the sound system is not that impressive, you'll enjoy watching good dancers sweeping the floor.

Dance the night away!
By ,
People really know how to dance here! Salsa or swing, you're guaranteed to have a good time. On salsa nights, you can take an hour long lesson before the floor gets too busy. DJ is great, but don't miss a night with a live band. Beautiful old building.

Incredible Amazing Place to Dance!
By ,
This place is absolutely a must for both visitors and locals - beautifully restored old ballroom with over 2,000 square feet, a lively and very friendly atmosphere and killer food, if you order dinner! There's also an outstanding series of live performers from around the world. Owner/El Hefe Hallie Kuperman is an extraordinary dancer and, if you're lucky, she'll give you a spin around the floor you're not likely to forget...(she leads, you follow)
