Mashawi Mediterranean Cuisine
Looking up at the Seattle Space needle, Mashawi is a family restaurant focusing on bringing comfort food from the Mediterranean; specifically Lebanon to our patrons. We are a family owned and ran restaurant. Every dish is made by hand in the kitchen by the owners/chefs with more then 20+ years cooking authentic Lebanese/Mediterranean food.
What a nice surprise! My husband and I wandered in one night and got excellent service, excellent food at very good prices!
This food competes with any Thai/Vietnames/Pacific rim fusion you can find.
They make a Thai sausage gingery and peppery that I can't get out of my mind. Hubby loves the garlic cashew chicken and the cola beef.
So, we visited again last night after the Seattle Symphony. We ditched the crowds at Wild Ginger without disappointing our taste buds and kept most of our money in our wallets!
Dear all the regular customers of Medeterranean Kitchen. Right now, the restaurant is closed and the new restaurant is Asian Breeze Restaurant, Contemporary Pan Asian Restaurant. Asian Breeze still keeps some of menu items. The phone number is still the same, 206 285 6713.
Service was GREAT! A bowl of a lentil-based soup was brought to our table immediately upon sitting down, just like bread is in other restaurants; it was delicious and immediately ingratiated ourselves to the server and the environment. The Spinakopita appetizer was beyond description -- amazingly full flavors, as were all the dishes.
Our mains of Falafel and Shawarma were very tasty, and the portions were ridiculously large; easily half an order was plenty -- but that just means you have more to share and take home! In fact, I'd suggest planning on getting a couple of orders and sharing them because you really should get a full sampling of what this place has to offer.
My only criticism is that the place is tiny, and we had a table near the door, which was chilly and less intimate as there were people waiting just a few feet from us as we ate. But again, the outstanding food and service squarely puts this place on our repeat visit list for Bellevue! I believe this place takes reservations, and on any weekend night, it's highly recommended!
I haven't been here in years because they absolutely refused to honor coupons they issued claiming they weren't valid on the weekend. The coupons themselves did not contain any such disclaimer. Ownership, if they are the same as the Mediterranean Kitchen in Bellevue engages in false advertising. This alone should warrant a boycott. Get good food and decency, dine elsewhere.
We went with family who had been here before and told wonderful stories of their chicken, they were right. Don't miss ordering the Lentil soup, it could be a meal all by it self, simply fabulous! A great place to eat if you are on the way to Key Arena.
We remembered our meal at Mediterranean Kitchen from two years ago and went back again last week on a trip to Seattle. It was wonderful! The veggie plate is a great sampler of hummous, falafel, grape leaves and the BEST baba ganoush I have ever eaten.
I use to go there when they had a place in Lynnwood. I would eat there three times a week at a minimum. The spring salad is to die for. It has the best garlic dressing and dill pickles for presentation. The salad is enough for two, but is so good you might not want to share it with others. Try it and you too will be hooked.
The food at the Mediterranean Kitchen is consistantly good so you know you will always enjoy it, delicious with interesting choices, a healthy and balanced menu, well prepared, maintains quality products, pleasantly served and an excellant value. I have taken many people there and they are always impressed. My son proposed to his wife there. What more can I say?
