If you're a foodie and you love a chilled beer but cant find the right spot, guess what? You just did at 5 Spot. Walk in early morning and they greet you with a king-size breakfast. At noon grab a quick bite and it's back to work or you can have a quiet mid-day meal. Dinner is always fun because out here you can kick it till midnight. Good food, great company and a cool beer and voila life is fine! And you thought it was going to be another one of those boring nights.

Food is pedestrian and I've never quite understood the "changing theme" idea. Trying to be cool?

Great Atmosphere, everything was a buzz, bruch and lunch seem to be the times to go. Great portion size, limited vegetarian options. Love the fish that is on the ceiling that opens it's mouth every time the door opens.

Corner hot spot with loyal following and rightly so . . . the wait can be trying during weekend brunch so go early or late and avoid Bloody Mary withdrawal. But all told, totally worth it!

A great family-friendly place with lots of charm. Themed decor changes seasonally to match their specials. Bartender has really upped his game with some really unique concoctions! Kids menu is pretty broad, too, and comes with real, actual vegetables. (Hallelujah!)

The 5 Spot changes the menu and decor according to varied Americana themes. They may feature the southwest one visit and the PacNW another. The featured decor is always fun and creative. They do have a menu of standards that don't change, the most popular being their fried chicken which they serve after 5 and sells out quickly. In fact, it never seems to be available.

The change menu makes it always fun... the drinks are amazing and the food is always good. They do some times go a little heavy on the pepper but if you ask to go light they will... only downside is the parking situation, it is horrid but that is the location, and the food makes up for it!

I have to admit that I don't get the cult following of the 5-Spot. The food is good, not earth-shaking. The service is spotty at best. I don't understand people waiting for an hour to be seated at this restaurant when there are other just as good places in the neighborhood with much shorter waits.
